BOOKING CONDITIONS
All online bookings are quoted in euro (EUR) per person and include taxes and VAT. Changes, alternations and cancellations must be made in writing to viadasales@viada.fi. The detailed list of all services included in the tour price will be specified under each tour on our website. Other expenses incurred by the client during the tour, for example use of telephone, hotel mini-bars, etc. must be paid directly by the client to the hotel or other provider of such services.
AMENDMENTS TO CONFIRMED RESERVATIONS
All changes made for tours offered by Viada Ltd´s online reservation system will incur a EUR 50 fee per amendment.
REFUNDS AND UNUSED SERVICES
Travel arrangements cancelled or amended within 48 hours of your departure or once travel has commenced will not qualify for any refunds, nor can services be substituted for alternative arrangements. Unused services are non-refundable.
CANCELLATION
All cancellations must be made in writing to viadasales@viada.fi. The date of the cancellation will be when Viada Ltd. receives it in writing. Viada Ltd. office hours are Monday-Friday 09:00 – 17:00 hrs, EEST. Please not the cancellation terms are informed before you confirm your booking online. As we offer excursions provided by different suppliers we advice to read the cancellation terms carefully.
PASSPORT, VISAS, CUSTOMS, CURRENCY AND HEALTH REGULATIONS
Every passenger is responsible for providing his/her own travel documents (passport, visa, etc). We recommend the examination of the customs/duty regulations and currency regulations for our destination.
TRAVEL INSURANCE
Viada Ltd. highly recommends all passengers to obtain a valid travel insurance to cover cancellations because of illness, death in family, force major etc. Viada Ltd. cannot be held responsible for loss of luggage, or other personal possessions, for personal injury, accident or illness. In the event of personal injury, accident or illness, Viada Ltd. cannot be required to make any refunds should the tour be partially or fully cancelled.
CANCELLATION BY VIADA LTD.
Due to reasons “force major” and reasons beyond our control (weather conditions etc.), Viada Ltd. reserves the right to cancel the travel package or excursion. All clients will be refunded, but Viada Ltd. will not be liable for any further claims.
RESPONSIBILITY
We reserve the right to change the prices in the event of devaluation of the euro, increase in taxes or service charges, or other such events beyond our control. We cannot assume responsibility for acts of omission of any person or firm other than Viada Oy Ltd. The operator is not responsible for accidents, loss, detention, annoyance, delays and expenses arising from the same, quarantine, strikes, force majeure, failure of boats or coaches to arrive and depart as scheduled, disturbances, government restrictions or regulations, weather conditions, and other eventualities over which we have no control. Timetables are subject to change. Reasonable changes in the itinerary may be made by Viada Oy Ltd. where deemed advisable for the comfort and well-being of the passengers. Viada Ltd. has a General Third Party Liability Insurance for bodily injury and property damage according to the terms and conditions of the insurance company.
WEATHER CONDITIONS
Due to the warm Gulf stream, the climate in Finland is considerably milder than at the same latitudes in other parts of the world, and the climates in North, East, South and West Finland are slightly different from each other. In the north and east the winter is cold but dry whereas the winter in the west and south coast is quite mild. The summer in the north is short and intensive. The summer begins in South Finland at the beginning of June and ends by mid-September. It is warm, but not humid. However, you can experience “the White Nights” until mid-August after which the days shorten rapidly.
ACTIVITIES
Some of our tour packages include activities such as Husky dog sledge, Snowmobiling, Skiing and similar. In these cases Viada Ltd. acts as an agent only for the activity providers, thus Viada Ltd. shall not under any circumstances be held liable for injury, damage, loss or accident caused by participation in or in connection with such activities.
ACCEPTANCE
By paying the deposit/final amount the customer has accepted the general terms and conditions listed in this document, as a part of the agreement between Viada Ltd. and the customer.
PRIVACY POLICY
We ask for personal information in the booking request section. This information is necessary to ensure that we are able to make and confirm your booking. This information will not be used for any other purpose, and will not be shared with any other outside parties except for necessary information given to our suppliers involved in your reservation (hotels etc.). The personal information will not be sold or shared, and your e-mail address will not be forwarded to outside parties.
